Ann AyresIn her role as Chaplain, Ann Ayres serves the spiritual needs of the residents of Methodist Manor. A Certified Lay Speaker and Lay Teacher, she also is a member of the Chaplain Association of the U.S. Prior to joining Methodist Manor, her gift for connecting with people led her to an instructional position at Central Methodist Church where she taught mentally and physically challenged adults. There, she also served as a board member and secretary for the Disabilities and Special Needs Committee. In addition to spiritual guidance and support, Ann also can offer residents insights on secular topics including art and history. She has taught art and history on all grade levels, owned an art school in Columbia, South Carolina, and worked as an art consultant in Chicago for 10 years.
